Booking Policy 2024

AGENCY FEE 

20% agency fee is applied to all bookings.

13% HST applies to all fees.

WORKING HOURS

Fees are billed by the day or hour.  Any full day booking (up to 8 hours) will be inclusive of a 30-minute paid lunch break. 

OVERTIME 

Overtime rates are billed at Time-And-A-Half and apply to bookings which begin before 8am, or run past 6pm unless otherwise negotiated. Overtime rates apply to talent who work for over 8 consecutive hours, Sundays or Stat Holidays.

USAGE

Usage is based on model/ talent recognition. Booking rates include 1 year of usage from the original date of campaign launch. Should you require usage beyond 1 year, extended usage rates must be negotiated in advance of the booking. 

PUBLICATION

Rates for local and international publication must be negotiated with the Agency. Clients must clearly specify when and where images/ videos will be used. Model/ talent release must be signed by all parties and must be sent for pre-approval to the Agency no less than 2 business days prior to the booking. 

EXCLUSIVITY

Clients must specify if model exclusivity is required. Rates for exclusivity must be negotiated with the Agency.

TRAVEL 

Bookings outside Kitchener, Waterloo and Cambridge will be billed at $30 per hour.

PREP/ ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

If model/ talent is expected to arrive camera ready, a prep fee of $50 will be billed. 

If model/ talent is requested to bring items they have to purchase, the cost will be billed to the client. 

RUSH FEE

For bookings that require a 48 hour turn-around time require a rush fee of $100 will be billed. 

FINAL PAYMENTS 

Final payment for the total fee for a booking will be due within 30 days.

WEATHER PERMIT 

Same day cancellation will be billed at full rate, unless an alternate weather date is scheduled within 24 hours. If an alternate date is scheduled, the client will be billed half the booking rate.  

CANCELLATION POLICY 

Cancellations within or less than 24 hours of booking will be billed at full rate unless the model is booked within 24 hours of the cancellation in which the fee will be billed at half-rate. Cancellations within 5 business days will be billed the 20% Agency Fee. 

Should the Agency cancel a booking it shall provide reasonable causes, offer the client a replacement, and any other steps to try and avoid cancellation.

The Agency is entitled to cancel a booking without liability to the client. The Agency is not liable for any costs as a result of cancellation. 

PROFESSIONAL SETTING 

The client agrees to provide a professional setting for all talent. This includes a qualified creative team that is able to accommodate all hair types and skin tones. If model/ talent is requested to apply their own hair and makeup, an additional charge will pertain. 

SAFETY

Nude, semi-nude, lingerie or bikini photography require written approval of the Agency, and is required to be a closed set. The image must not be altered. 

Clients are required to take all steps to ensure the safety and health of the model/ talent is maintained, including a safe work environment and adequate dressing facilities.

Any content shared across social platforms must include credit in the form of tagging @gemini.modelling.agency
